(ii) to remain in occupation as long as they are allowed to do so unmolested; if ejected by force, the opportunity would be taken to intensify propaganda against "British aggression in the western hemisphere." Of the two, (i) is the more likely, but if the Argentine appreciation is that His Majesty's Government will take no positive action, (ii) is possible. (d) Although a minor operation as envisaged in (i) above could take place at any season, it is most likely to occur during the southern summer (November to March).
