contains some 15,000 17,000 aircraft, of all types, in operational units and that the establishment of the Civil Air Transport Fleet is of the order of 1,000 1,500 Medium and 2,000 light transport aircraft. Thus the Soviet Air Force has to provide maintenance backing for some 15,000 17,000 front-line aircraft of all types, and not 21,500 as suggested in para 6 (c).
