Staff Talks with France and the Benelux Countries - Security Aspects. Report by the Joint Intelligence Committee

1 Jan 1948

ANNEX MILITARY CONVERSATIONS WITH FRANCE AND THE BENELUX COUNTRIES SECURITY ASPECTS Current Service Contacts. We understand that it is necessary that the R.A.F. should provide assistance to the French, Netherlands and Belgian Air Forces now, and that it is also necessary for the R.N. to assist the French and Netherlands Navies. Additional collaboration with other Services in France and the Benelux countries may be required in the immediate future. 2. We appreciate that, to a large extent, security objections will be outweighed by the wider arguments in favour of collaboration with France and the Benelux countries.
