Disclosure of Information to Burma. Report by the Joint Intelligence Committee

Recommendations. 6. We recommend that the Chiefs of Staff should:(a) endorse the policy as in paragraph 4 above and inform the Minister of Defence of their views; (b) subject to the approval of the Minister of Defence, (i) invite the Service Departments and the Ministry of Supply to issue instructions accordingly; (ii) instruct the Secretary to arrange for a copy of our report to be sent to the Head of the British Service Mission to Burma; (iii) invite the Panel on Security arrangements in Government Departments to consider this report with a view to issuing instructions on similar lines to Civil Departments who may be concerned.
