APPENDIX 'A' INTELLIGENCE BRIEF FOR SENIOR NAVAL REPRESENTATIVE OF BRITISH SERVICE MISSION TO BURMA With the recent withdrawal of the N.O.I.C. and S.O.(I) Rangoon, there are now no British Naval Officers resident for duty in Burma. In consequence the Admiralty is dependent on you for information regarding the naval affairs and naval power of Burma. 2. You will not be expected to obtain intelligence on Burmese naval affairs by covert means, but all overt means available to you should be utilized to obtain information on such matters as morale, discipline, efficiency, docks and repair facilities, technical proficiency, and progressrof the Burmese Naval Forces, and the Naval Administration together with accounts of any operations or exercises conducted by them and their relations with other Foreign or Dominion Navies.
