(b) Across the Southern Baltic directed against Southern Sweden, Denmark and Southern Norway. 9. In the latter case (paragraph 8(b) above) two alternatives are to be considered: (i) In assault from bases East of Lubeck. (ii) An assault from bases East of Lubeck combined with one from Denmark, to take place after its capture. In this case an estimate is required of the time necessary from the capture of Denmark until the Russians would be able to launch such an assault. 10. The assessment of the forces which Russia could maintain across the Baltic should include the use of facilities in Denmark and North Western Germany as well as bases East of Lubeck.
