In Poland and Germany we now estimate the total number of aircraft to be between 1,800 and 2,000, as compared with 1,350 1,550; in Austria and Hungary the total is estimated to be 1,250 1,450, as compared with 1,000 1,100 aircraft; and in Roumania and Bulgaria the total is estimated to be 1,300 1,500, as compared with 1,500 1,700 aircraft. 13. Of the totals given above we consider that some 60 per cent are combat aircraft and that approximately 50 per cent of these are kept serviceable.
